Report whether the controls wake, the door latches, the cycle starts and water enters. Include any delay, blinking indicator or code that appears before washing begins, plus whether the problem affects every cycle selection.
Describe normal, weak or absent spray sounds and any grinding, humming or repeated pauses. Note whether detergent remains in the dispenser and whether dishes on one rack come out differently from the other rack.
Say whether water remains above the filter, returns after draining, or appears on the floor. The timing matters: during fill, active washing, the drain stage or only after the door opens are different request details.
Include whether the cycle completes, the interior is warm, dishes remain wet, residue is present or an odor persists. Mention the selected cycle and rinse-aid or detergent change only when it is relevant to what changed.
Do not keep restarting the dishwasher if water is rising, leaking or creating an electrical concern. Describe the water level and stop using the unit when it is safe to do so.
A clear model-label photo, visible error code, residue pattern or safe view of where water appears can add context. Do not open electrical panels or reach into moving components for a photo.
Explain which rack, soil type or cycle shows the problem and whether spray arms move freely when the unit is off. Note changes in detergent, water temperature or loading without assuming any one is the cause.
